This type of exercise is aimed at measuring those competencies which are best revealed in a group situation. How well can the candidates argue? Are they able to convince one another? Who is going to lead the group? Who is generating the ideas? Abilities such as these are best assessed in their „natural environment”. Roles are either assigned or unassigned and the group is observed by a team of assessors looking at how the interaction between the group is happening and the roles being played out.
