Assessment/Development Centre (AC/DC) - Online

The Design and Implementation of Assessment/Development Centres
Language of lecture:
The training is also available in
English languages.

Our Assessment/Development Center (AC / DC) course is already available in the virtual space!

Our training course is ongoing in the light of applications. The training course is divided into online one and a half hour modules, which take place at pre-arranged times.

In recent years, we have helped several large companies to develop their Assessment and Development Centre (AC/DC) system which they can manage by themselves afterwards.

From now on, you also can learn from our consultants how to integrate Assessment and Development Centres into your selection and career planning system and apply it on a stand-alone, long-term basis. An example of the modules and schedule can be viewed from our training program:

The main topics of the course:

  • Designing competency models
  • Learning group, in-tray, analysing-presenting, fact-finding, role-playing exercises
  • Training internal assessors, developing competency matrices and schedules
  • Incorporating personal experiences

The course materials and presentations will be sent to the participants after the completion of the modules.

Training starts with a minimum of 4 participants, according to the agreed time and place.

Our registration number in the Adult Education Data Service System is B/2020/006665.
We act in accordance with the Adult Education Act in all respects.

For whom?

The aim of this course is that participants get acquainted to the methodology and practice of the design, planning and management of AC/DC-s. Hence we recommend it to HR professionals, who would like to incorporate AC/DC-s into their organisation’s selection and career planning processes, and would like to use these methods on a longer-term. Furthermore we recommend it to HR consultants, who would like to widen their range of services with AC/DC-s.

During the training, participants will learn how to plan competency models. They will get acquainted with a range of exercise types (group, in-tray, analysing and presenting, fact-finding, and role-play exercises), and through their evaluation they will learn how to prepare the organisation’s assessors. They will make competency-matrices and assessment-day programmes.

AC/DC-s are the most modern and reliable method for leader selection and career planning. If applied properly, an assessment and/or development centre is great help in deciding which (internal or external) applicants will make the most capable leaders, as well as what kind of development is needed for them to perform their duties effectively. SHL Hungary has rich experience in the design and implementation of AC/DC-s. We have helped a number of large companies in Hungary in setting up their own self-sufficient AC/DC system, and we also have a number of ready-to-use exercises.

While offering a theoretical outlook, the course focuses on practical questions. The curriculum mostly builds on SHL exercises, but at the same time our aim is for the participants to be able to create their own exercises, based on what they have learned. We try to take in consideration the participants’ individual needs, and within our possibilities shape the standard curriculum according to these. The courses are held by SHL’s experienced consultants.
