Organisational culture affects the organisation’s performance fundamentally: it determines what kind of workplace behaviour is rewarded, how people cooperate, how are decisions being made, how information flows in the organisation, how does the organisation react to external forces affecting it, and how employees are motivated. The Organisational Culture Questionnaire helps analysing this. The model assumes that there is no one ideal culture that is equally suitable for all organisations.
